The Artemis II astronauts are back on Earth. The four crew members splashed down into the Pacific Ocean near San Diego on Friday night. Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialist Christina Koch all work for NASA. Jeremy Hansen works for the Canadian Space Agency. All four astronauts are in good health. They were the first humans to travel to the moon and come home safely in over 50 years.
The Orion space capsule carried the crew around the moon and back. The last time humans went to the moon was in December 1972. That was the Apollo 17 mission. The astronauts will now have time to rest and spend time with their families. Many people are happy that humans can travel to the moon again.
