Japan-linked Vessels Complete Hormuz Transit, Crews Evacuated

Japan's Foreign Ministry announced that all vessels affiliated with Japanese interests and crewed by Japanese nationals have been withdrawn from the Gulf following their transit through the Strait of Hormuz. The announcement, made Friday, confirms the successful evacuation of Japan-linked shipping operations from the volatile region. The Hormuz strait remains a critical chokepoint through which roughly one-fifth of global oil shipments pass. Regional tensions have escalated concerns over maritime security, prompting Japan and other nations to reassess their operational footprint in the area. The ministry emphasized that the safety of Japanese personnel and assets remains its paramount concern.
