A team in South Korea did a new study. Professor Travers B. Child led the team. The team works at SKK Graduate School of Business. They worked with two other professors. Professor Austin L. Wright came from the University of Chicago. Professor Yun Xiao came from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
The team looked at aid in poor countries. Aid means money or help from other countries. They studied many aid agencies in one place. This is called fragmentation. Fragmentation means many groups do the same work in one area. The team used very small data to see what happened.
The team found something bad. Aid fragmentation makes corruption worse. Corruption means government workers take money illegally. This is the first time anyone proved this with very small data. The team is the first in the world to show this link.
