Oura has launched the Ring 5, which it says is the world's smallest smart ring. The Finnish-American company has reduced the device by 40% compared to the previous model. The ring tracks sleep patterns, stress levels, and heart health. It is only 2.28mm thick and looks more like jewellery than a tech gadget. The Ring 5 costs from £399 with a monthly subscription of £5.99. Shipping starts on 4 June.
Since starting in 2013, Oura has sold 5.5 million rings across 150 countries. The company now has 5 million paying subscribers and made $1 billion in revenue last year. Oura is valued at $11 billion and is preparing for an IPO later this year. The smart ring market is growing quickly, with 4 million devices shipped in 2025. Oura works with sports groups including the Football Association and US Soccer.
